I took a 1000 lb capacity scaffold and turned it into high density tool storage/ work area.
In 18 square feet it holds:
Lumber on top shelf
On floor nested under the main adjustable platform is a shop vac, a cart with 2 metal melting furnaces and associated accessories and 2 torches, and finally a flat dolly with an air compressor and crate with all mail guns and such.
On the main platform is a small lathe, a scroll saw, a BladeRunner saw, an oscillating belt and drum sander, 2 grinders and a portable tool box.
Between the main platform and the top lumber shelf is a sliding 1/2 shelf that holds a drill, oscillating saw, circular saw, Sabre saw and table saw jigs. It slides to give headroom for using the tabletop tools on the main platform.
Believe it or not, when working on small stuff I use the tools right there on the platform. If needed I move them off to a workmate vise-table.
On the ends hang power cords, air hoses, and long measuring sticks.
It is an amazing feat in 18 feet ! And yet I can still roll it by myself fully loaded.
Thinking about getting another for general storage :-)
